"Business Intelligence with Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007"

To successfully submit data to the assignment instances created in the previous
section, access to the Model??”CorpBudget??”should be turned on for the all the
Business Users or Business Roles defined as contributor, reviewer, or approver in
the assignment. To do this, go to the Security and Roles workspace by clicking on
the Security and Roles link in the Workspace Browser, as shown in Figure 7-10. All
the Business Users and Business Roles are listed in this workspace. Next, click on
the user Contributer1, which will open the Role or User workspace (depending on
whether the user belongs to a role or not). In the bottom half of the Summary tab,
set the access to On for the model CorpBudget, as shown in Figure 7-34. Repeat the
same steps for users Reviewer1 and Approver1 (for the purpose of the examples in
this chapter). After all the changes are made, save them to the PPS Planning Server.
Figure 7-34 Model access should be turned on for every role and user that requires
access to the business forms and reports.

Associations
Associations are the final link in the Workspace browser. While no associations are
used in this chapter, it is important to understand what they are and what they can
do. Associations provide a way to tie together two models, with one model acting
as the source and the other model acting as the destination. Data from the fact table
of the source model can be moved into the destination model, with the option of
aggregating data as it is moved.
