The model can be deployed by clicking on Deploy Model Site under the File
menu of the Planning Business Modeler. Successful deployment of the model
(which can be verified from the Messages dialog box) will result in a SSAS OLAP
Cube being built in the Analysis Services computer specified in the Planning
Administration Console. The OLAP cube will have the same name as the PPS
Planning Application model. It will also have the same dimensions that were selected
during the model design. Each of the dimensions will have a parent-child hierarchy
in the OLAP cube for the member set that was selected during cube design.
Forms and Reports
Clicking on the Forms and Reports link in the Workspace Browser (displayed in
Figure 7-10) will open the Forms workspace within the Planning Business Modeler.
The Form Templates used by PPS Planning Application are created and published
using the PPS 2007 PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel client tool. A detailed
discussion of the creation and publishing of Business Reports and Form Templates is
given in the section on the PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel client tool later in this
chapter. From the drop-down box in the Forms workspace, the view can be toggled
between Form Templates and Operational Reports.

Process Management
Once the form templates are created and published, the next step in the Planning
process is the creation of planning cycles, commonly referred to as budget cycles.
