Clicking the Finish button
will create the new dimension, and will take you to the newly created dimension.
The Member Maintenance tab of the new dimension is open by default, as shown in
Figure 7-16.
Dimension Member Property
Dimension member properties define the behavior and characteristics of each
dimension member. Dimension member properties are similar to dimension
attributes in SSAS OLAP cubes and, in fact, will be defined as such when SSAS
OLAP cube is created for the model during the model site deployment phase. There
are two types of dimension member properties: system-defined and user-defined.
System-defined dimension member properties are part of the predefined dimensions
that are provided with Planning Business Modeler. Like the predefined dimensions
themselves, the system-defined dimension member properties cannot be deleted,
because these properties are used for the internal logic of Planning Business Modeler.
Figure 7-15 The Name, Label, and Description information is entered in the first page of
the Create a Dimension wizard.

For example, in the Account dimension, the Account Type dimension member property
is system-defined. It is required for all models that use the Account dimension.
All dimensions??”whether predefined or user defined??”also have three required
member properties. The required properties are Name, Label, and Description.
