day as it does in our sample calendar, views of the data can be created to show only
year, quarter, and month data. These views can be used in models and fulfill the role
of Hierarchies or Member Sets within the Time dimension. For the purpose of the
examples given in this chapter, a new year-quarter-month (YQM) Calendar view
is created by clicking on the Create a View link on this page. The value YQM is
entered in the text boxes for Label and Description in the top right of this page.
This new name??”YQM??”will appear in the Calendar Views box on the left side
of this page. First select the new view by clicking on it once and then click on the
check boxes next to Year, Quarter, and Month in the Included Frequencies box on
the bottom right of this page. Now the new YQM view with year, quarter and month
levels from the Time dimension is defined, as shown in Figure 7-13. Unwanted
Calendar views can be removed from this page by clicking on the Delete Selected
View link on this page.
