A user can be removed from the
User Administrator role by selecting the check box next to the user and then clicking
the Remove button.
For the purpose of the examples given in this chapter, the user PerfPointServer\
Administrator is added as the only User Administrator at the Budget application scope.
Data Administrator
The seventh link on the left pane of the Planning Administration Console page is
used for managing the Data Administrator Role. Members of the Data Administrator
role can perform data integration tasks as well as data management, workflow
process, and security tasks. Users who are assigned to the Data Administrator role
have unrestricted access to all business data within their scope, even if they belong
to a business role that has restricted settings. For security reasons, work performed
by Data Administrator role members should be carefully reviewed because these
individuals can browse databases. It is recommended that Data Administrator role
members do not have full database permissions unless it is necessary.
Managing users belonging to the Data Administrator role is similar to managing
users belonging to the User Administrator role described previously. On the Data
Administrator Role page, users who currently belong to the role are listed in the
User ID column next to the appropriate application or model site. Like the User

Administrator role, Data Administrator role has either an application scope or a
model site scope.
