It is
easy to change what is displayed in any Target column simply by right-clicking on
the Target header and choosing Properties. This opens the Target Settings dialog
shown in Figure 5-15. First, the Target column can show the target value, the actual
value, or no value at all. Next, the Target column can show the score, ignore the

score when filtering the scorecard, and then allow you to select both the score
type and the score rollup type. There are two options for the score type: Raw and
Normalized. Raw simply does a straight computation without any of the weighting
that occurs in a normalized calculation. For example, if the Actual is 35 and Target
is 100, the normalized score might be 23%, but the raw score is 35%. Recall that the
normalized score is based on where the thresholds are set, which is why the value for
a normalized score is not a straight calculation like the raw score.
The score rollup type has four options: None, Average Weighted, Indicator
Count, and Worst Child. This determines how the child KPIs will roll up if this is an
objective. The default is Average Weighted because each KPI can be given a different
weight, so one KPI might contribute more to the score than another KPI.
